Pear Shaped // Tarte au poire

So, I'm not in France...any more. My 365 days were cut down to 17. It's painful. But, I have been baking through my problems. Thus, je present la tarte au poire. Il est c'est tres bonne! Je mange cette tarte pour mon petit dejeuner. Bon appetit!

I apologize for my mess messy studio!! As you can see, my kitchen makes a smooth transition to my...bed. But, I personally wouldn't have it any other way. I love this tiny studio.

Here's the recipe (made up by moi)!

Amber's Recipe Tarte au Poire

2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 cup sugar (if you want to eat this for breakfast, cut it to 2/3rds)
1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
pinch of salt
cinnamon - desired amount (optional)
zest of 1 lemon (optional)
juice of 1 lemon (optional)
4 pears, cored, sliced ( I didn't peel mine. Vitamins!)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

Place pears in a separate bowl, coat with juice of lemon

  1. Mix/blend eggs and milk together.
  2. After fully mixed, add in salt and sugar
  3. Mixture should be thick.
  4. Add in zest and cinnamon
  5. Add in flour
  6. Add pears to mixture. Coat slices well
  7. Place in 9 inch baking pan, and bake!

The tart is ready when fully browned, and toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center. About an hour.

Enjoy! Let me know how it goes if you make it!!
