Karolina / Because I always Wanted to be a Model

fashiongonerouge
I have a confession: I've always wanted to be a model. When I was younger, I got a little glimpse of that dream. I remember when a scout company came to Hawai'i. It was my chance! To get my portfolio together my mother took some shots of me outside Costco, and then got them developed, and off we went to the audition.
While at the audition, I got to meet one of the companies newest models:
Karolina Kurkova.
Yeah, you read right. She didn't speak a lot of English then, but she was the sweetest girl. Instantly I wanted to be like her. I mean, she was a model! So tall, so beautiful, and so kind.
I made it through two of the three "castings". I even got to fly out to Anahiem,CA for the 2nd casting.
I didn't pass through to the final round however. I cried my eyes out.
Karolina and her beauty and kindness stuck with me. Every time I saw her in an editorial, I ripped it out and stuck it on my wall. Then she became a Victoria Secret model, and all my walls were covered. And then she was on America's Next Top Model...
It's so much fun to follow someone's success! Especially when you remember them before they went "big".

Oh so sweet! I kind of wanted to be a model, then realized I'm not really going to grow anymore. That's super cool that you went to that model casting and got called back (twice!) but even cooler is that you met such a sweet, now famous model! http://thearcenciel.blogspot.com/

How adorable and exciting that you met her. I agree about following some one's success especially before they became hugely famous.
