His and Her Skincare - Hydroxatone and HYD

I like my skincare simple. I want the products on my bathroom counter to multitask an play well with others. So when both my boyfriend and I had the opportunity to try out a couple new products (courtesy of iFabbo), we were thrilled! I had been looking for a facial sunscreen that would feel comfortable on the face throughout the day, and the boyfriend, well...his routine is so simple that it was almost non-existent. (At least compared to mine!)
For me: Hydroxatone AM/PM Anti-Wrinkle Complex SPF 15
For him: HYD for Men shaving skincare set
I have been using the Hydroxatone product for a little over two weeks now. What I love about it is that it doesn't smell like it contains SPF. I try to avoid any facial products that are overly scented because I have sensitive skin, and I am prone to breakouts. I am also picky about facial SPF products because they will often interfere with my makeup - such as causing my foundation to "move" around (because the sunscreen hasn't settled into my skin yet), or "ball up" and literally fall off (because of a silicone/water ingredient clash)! I am happy to report that neiher of these has been an issue with the Hydroxatone product!

The product itself goes on smooth and silky. It is very rich, but doesn't clog my pores. It melts into my skin, and leaves a soft glisten - leaving the skin super moisturized. What I love is that I can apply it either under or over my makeup (for those days when my routine gets a little out of order). What intrigues me most is that this is an SPF product that can be used as a night time moisturizer! Have you ever heard of that before? I hadn't! Because of it's impressive dual action ingredients, the Hydroxatone AM/PM Anti-Wrinkle Complex is able to work double time, and work just as well at night as it does during the day. I am thoroughly impressed.
The HYD products left his face so soft!!
For my boyfriend, I was really excited for him to try the HYD For Men shaving products. Ironically, one of the major reasoned I loved the product was for its scent! It smells like an orange creamsicle! It has a bright scent that appealed to the both of us (I was worried that it might be a little too "girly" for him, but he ended up liking it). The set comes in three parts: the shaving cream, an incredibly innovative microdermabrasion stick, and a blade gel.

For the shaving gel, a little goes a long way. It works best with a wet face, and creates a gentle lather. The item that I am most impressed with is the microdermabrasion stick - I've never seen microdermabrasion in a stick form! However now that it's been done, I don't know why I haven't seen it done more often. It's genius! I have always hated the feeling of the tiny granules stuck under my nails, and now because of HYD For Men, this is a sensation that my boyfriend will never know. Skincare for men can be a hard market - so the simpler the better. I'd say that HYD nailed it! Lastly, the blade extender gel - I think this is what my boyfriend liked the most. Again, he's not big on spending a lot of money skincare, so anything to extend his dollar he is excited about. I just hope that this means he won't get mad when I use his razor (and new shave cream) to shave my legs...!

So loves, what you do think? Have you heard of either of these products? Do you use any SPF products on a daily basis? If not, you need to! SPF is so important! It protects you against sun damage, and can prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Of course aging is part of life, but it's also important to take care of what we've got!

For the HYD For Men products, I wish that you could smell the computer screen - the scent is enough to make one salavate!

Overall, both my boyfriend I were very impressed with our products. Both left our skin feeling well moisturized and soft - and both had an element that was new and innovative, as well as being easy to work into our current skincare routines.
