Pumpkin Patch

Every year I look forward to going to the pumpkin patch. The bright dots of orange everywhere, hayrides, and corn or hay mazes are the perfect way to celebrate the season of fall.

Jacket: Thrifted Ralph Lauren // Dress: c/o Boohoo (similar) // Tights, hat, and booties: Target (old)
I've been meaning to wear this dress ever since the iFabbo conference: Boohoo - a UK based clothing brand was there, and gave me this dress for free! I love a good plaid. Thank you Boohoo! I decided to go with a '90's look. I later ended up tying my denim jacket around my waist, which of course, made everything so much better.

I am so happy that you enjoyed the Becoming Lana post! I was so very proud of the results. I'll be uploading more shots that didn't make it to the post onto my Facebook page over the weekend, so keep an eye out!

Amber, Amber, Amber ... has the '90s look really become vintage apparel? Has some of the clothing I possess shifted out of fashion and is now unknowingly back in fashion purely on the basis that I've outlived a movement? Goodness me, now I understand why kids of the '80 felt so glum during the previous decade.

Oh, well. Glad to see that pumpkins are as seasonally revered in America the way Christmas trees are in the month of December. You crazy kids!

Oh, and your Carmen blog post was very impressive. Not sure a lit cigarette is a good look for you, but I suppose the role called for it.

Amber, you look so cute! I love the dress BooHoo gave you. That tartan is so pretty! It's a festive color and looks awesome on you girl. Your boyfriend is absolutely hilarious!!! HaHaHa Those pumpkins are huge and so orange! We don't have pumpkin patches nearby (unless sprawled on a church lawn). They're about an hour or so outside of New Orleans. I went to one about two years ago...a bee stung me...my face swelled up and that was the end of that. LOL I did get a BEAUTIFUL pumpkin. So now, I just walk into the store and pick two up. But I LOVE the atmosphere of pumpkin patches!!! There's nothing like it. I just read your comment! What a frickin' coincidence! It's a corner house on St. Charles Avenue (major parade route) and there's a church on the other side of the street. Gorgeous home, but I wouldn't want it either. Too much traffic and definitely no privacy. So your family made the right decision. Did you go to school here? I went to Ursuline High School. Thanks for your comment! It's really a small world. Wishing you a wonderful day.

I love the dress! And the one of your boyfriend sprawled out with a giant pumpkin on his chest makes me laugh. I was going to carve a pumpkin this year, but didn't manage to. Maybe I'll be a rebel and do it in November anyway. :P

Isn't he silly? Every once in a while he'll let his humor shine through. I love it when he does!
