Milani Rose Powder Blush and Moisture Mattes

When I returned from MBFW last month I had the sweetest surprise waiting for me: Milani Cosmetics! While I have been a fan of Milani nail polish for a while, I've never tried their makeup. I was excited to try out the Rose Powder Blush (sent to me in Romantic Rose) and the Color Statement Lipstick Moisture Mattes (sent to me in Matte Innocence and Matte Diva).

The Rose Powder Blush is gorgeous in that it is stamped into a flowering rose motif. It's highly pigmented and gives great color in just 1-2 swipes over the cheek. It's also made with real rose petals, giving the product an extra glamorous feel. This blush lasts all day on me: it stays on throughout my kickboxing classes at the gym, window shopping, and whatever else I might have on the schedule. Lately I've been wearing this blush every day!

The Moisture Matte lipsticks have a huge color payoff and from my experience (I've been wearing them a lot lately!) the colors don't feather. The lipsticks glide on smoothly and don't tug on the lips when being applied. If you are familiar with matte lip color you'll know that this is a big bonus! Many matte lipsticks can be drying, but these Milani mattes are creamy and contain moisturizing vitamins such A & C. However if you're eating a meal don't expect the color to have a lot of staying power - although they will leave a beautiful stain on the lips.

Matte Innocence is a very true nude on me: the pink undertones match my skin almost too well. However I've paired this lip color with a dark metallic smokey brown eye and it looked great. Matte Diva is bright and vibrant, and I've been having a lot of fun layering it over Matte Innocence for a trendy ombre lip look. I also love wearing it on it's own.

Matte Innocence: a warm, pinky nude Matte Diva: a bright hot pink perfect for spring // Rose Powder Blush in Romantic Rose: a natural flush of pink. Products c/o of Milani

You may find these Milani products at CVS stores nationwide (I've also seen some at Target), or at MilaniCostmetics.com. The Moisture Mattes start at $4.99, and the Rose Powder Blushes start at $7.99. Will you be giving these products a try?

Thank you to Milani for the goodies!
