Do you ever have those pieces that you continuously gravitate towards? For me it's ankle boots and parkas. Every season I come across a parka that I swear is ohmyghawd so amazing. Free People had two this year that I thought I was going to go broke over. The January sales are still going strong and when I wandered into Gap without any purpose, I saw this coat for 75% off. Never mind the fact that I have 3 other dark green parkas at home...! The way I see it is that New York is going to be freezing, and this one has some solid potential of keeping me warm! I even bought it a little big to make room for all those layers I'll be wearing ;)
