The Bright Pink Trench

I have teamed up with Simon Malls, the Petaluma Village Premium Outlets, and Coach (the store directly, not the brand) for this post to participate in Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Premium Outlets in Petaluma has a great variety of stores from Coach, Off Saks Fifth, Levi's, BCBG, and more.

When shopping at Petaluma Village (simply known as "the outlets" to locals), my very first stop is always the Coach Outlet store. Late October / early November is my favorite time of year, as they begin to put all of their holiday pieces out! When I stopped in earlier this week, this bright pink trench coat was the first thing that I saw. I have been wanting to purchase a trench coat for quite some time, and this one felt fun and fresh. Plus, what better color to don on all those upcoming grey and overcast days this fall? The color will cheer me up, and make sure I'm seen in stormy weather.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As many know, a specific shade of pink (or perhaps all shades of pink in general) has come to represent as a visual reminder of the disease. However cancer awareness is so much more than wearing a color. In effort to become an active part of an educational movement, I have shared guidelines and helpful tips from Susan G. Komen, Cancer.org and NationalBreastCancer.org on how to get involved, test yourself, and test for early signs of Breast Cancer. I've also included the link to a free guide on how to be breast health aware. Find the tips below!
