Hi, I’m Amber, founder and creator of A Mused Blog. I am of Haitian-Danish heritage. I am a Virgo sun, Pisces moon, and Aquarius ascending. Which means I have an obsession with planning, and have been known to schedule my crying sessions. One of my biggest passions in life is to travel (especially to France) and learn about different cultures. I love to read historical biographies of royal women. Lore is my favorite podcast, however the podcast 1619 has had the deepest impact.
I founded A Mused Blog in 2008 as a way to share with friends and family my college internship adventures. (In my final year in college I was balancing two internships - one in Fashion Public Relations and Outreach, and the other in cataloging and Museum Curating.)
A Mused Blog is and has been many things: a creative outlet, a safe space for my introspective essays, a steady stream of income, my ticket to Fashion Weeks, a way to connect with others, a source of education, and ultimately, a lifeline. If I had to define my content, I’d describe it as Lifestyle, with a heavy focus on wine, wine culture, travel, fashion, and skincare. It may sound like a wide variety of topics, but all of these are much closer than one may realize (browse my content to understand!).
My freelance writing is published by KQED, Wine Enthusiast, and Fodor. I have collaborated with LinkedIn Marketing for their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs.
For content creation I have collaborated with major brands such as American Greetings, CLIF BAR, Crest, Olay, Target, Whole Foods, and many more. Locally, I have proudly worked with Gundlach-Bundschu, Post & Beam Wines, Vinter’s Inn - Ferrari Carano, and more.
