Thank you! {This means you}

Three years ago when I first started this blog, it began as a way to document my two internships. I don't remember if I had a concept of what a "fashion blogger" was at the time (although I did post outfits). However if you had told me then that I would come across people who would become good friends, or find blogging to be something I simply didn't know how to function without, I wouldn't have believed you!

But perhaps the most rewarding experience has been you: my readers. Every day I receive kind words, find inspiration in what you're doing, wearing, and sharing with me.I wanted to take time to say thank you.

Also, A reader sent me a question that I wanted to answer:

Hi Mary!
Hmm...My favorite place on earth? What an excellent question! It would be impossible for me to choose just one. I'll give my top three (so far):
1. Big Island of Hawai'i. I grew up there, and it will always have a special place in my heart. The black and green sand beaches, clear blue waters, and purple mountains that jut above the clouds with wide, vast open plains below them have entranced me like no other place. Did you know that the Big Island is the only place in the world that has 5 of the 6 major climates, all in one place? Amazing!

2.France. While I am tempted to list Paris, and simply leave it at that, it is not so simple for me. While I still have many, many parts of the country to see, France intrigues me. I have been blessed and lucky enough to have made four trips to France, and I know those won't be my last. France is so vast in it's varieties of culture, food, and language that there is always something new to learn. I have been studying the language for some time, and I cannot wait until I am fluent!

3. My backyards of Hawai'i. In Hawai'i I lived in two different homes. In both places I had incredible areas to run and play. In my first home which was in Waimea, there was a creek behind my house. I discovered that if I followed it upstream, there were three consecutive miniature ponds/waterfalls. I used to "bathe" there. At my second home home which was in Kohala, sea cliffs were just beyond my backyard. There were three horses who lived in the pasture, and I would often go there to play with them, or just think. On my 19th birthday my best friend Amy and I watched the sunrise from those cliffs.

So thank you my dear readers! I truly enjoy reading your comments (and the occasional e-mail), reading your blogs, and learning about you!

PS. In honor of today's date, I wanted to focus on the positive. 9/11/01. We will never forget.
