Last weekend Fermin and I went down to the city to visit the California Academy of Sciences. Golden Gate Park is my favorite place in the entire city (and next is Tiffany's in Union Square). The museum currently has an earthquake exhibit, and there is a wall where you can share your "earthquake stories". The story on the left is mine. Fun fact? I used to live here in the Bay Area before I moved out to Hawaii (with Louisiana in between). The earthquake of 1989 was something I definitely experienced.
Oh, and the zombie photo of the two of us was taken in the aquarium; that's why we look so green!
Fun field trip. Particularly enjoyed the handwritten notes by visitors... I have experienced two (minor) earthquakes here in Seattle, and hope I will not have to go through it ever again :-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteI love these pictures, looks like a great museum :) I love the idea about handwritten personal earthquake stories, it's very cool :)
ReplyDeleteAlbino alligators and jellyfish--two things I love seeing at aquariums and such.
