My 6 Key Pieces for Fall

I love fall. For me it feels like a new beginning; I know that January 1st is when most celebrate a new year, however for me I tend to become the most hopeful of things to come when the leaves start to change. Maybe it's because my birthday is around this time, or because I have always found it so thrilling to watch the changing of the seasons. To share my excitement with you, I've pulled 6 items that I know will be on heavy rotation this fall!

Fly Art Productions sweater

Fly Art Productions is a creative movement after my own heart. I love art history. It was my minor (almost major) in college. I am also quite obsessed with Marie Antoinette, having read 4 biographies on her. This sweater will be perfect with skinny jeans, maxi skirts and dresses, or even a jeweled collar.

Lovestitch cardigan
As soon as I saw this cardigan, it was lust at first sight. Every fall for the last three years I have purchased one Lovestitch sweater. They usually tend to have a blend of angora or cashmere, which makes them super soft. I can see this paired with dresses and a floppy hat for a playful boho feel, or with leggings and a simple tunic and flats.

Audrey dress, Eden boots from Paris.
I've already shown both of these pieces here on the blog this week! It's a sign: I will be wearing these a lot. The dress will pair beautifully layered under sweaters and knits, and the boots I can imagine going well with just about anything and everything, especially when I want to add a little pep in my step!

Cobb Hill (c/o) Bethany boot, Willow & Clay faux leather skirt
I know I've already told you how much I love my Bethany boot. So I know it goes without saying that I will be living in these (I already have been living in them!). They go beautifully with long dresses and skirts, short skirts, and look very chic with skinny jeans tucked in. They are my quintessential shoe. The skirt, c/o of Willow & Clay looks great now, and I know that tights will allow me to swear it all throughout late fall and winter. Thankfully our Northern California winters are pretty mild, and allow me to swear shorter skirts!

And there you have it! My 6 key pieces for fall. Have you started your fall staple wardrobe yet? Does it look similar? I've love to know what you've got in your seasonal closet!
