The warm summer evenings of August are still here with us in Northern
California. The crickets sing me to sleep at night, and I leave my
windows wide open to allow for a cool breeze. The daytime calls for
little dresses in autumnal colors, while in the evenings I can sneak on a
lightweight sweater if I really really want to (and I really do).

Strawberry ice cream, striped sweaters, and some style borrowed from the boys all work together for the perfect transition into fall. It seems that my summer of "the boyfriend" [jeans] will also be the Autumn of menswear as well! I find myself still reaching for items with a relaxed fit, while keeping my outfits pulled together with a structured bag and manicured nails (which makes a huge difference). To me, menswear staples such as brogues, boyfriend jeans, blazers, etc. all have more staying power in my closet than a dress or a pair of heels...Which isn't to say that I don't have plenty of both! Rather, I have found that I find a blissful sort of comfort in being...well, comfortable!
