Burberry Beauty Liquid Lip Velvet

Burberry London recently contacted me, kindly asking if they could send a surprise gift my way. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I knew either way it was going to be special.

Burberry as a brand, to me, has always struck the fine balance of feminine and classic, casual and modern. I see the Burberry woman as strong and independent; one who stands on her own without worrying herself about the opinion of others, and is true to herself. She doesn't concern herself with ideals of perfection, but rather she is someone who sets high goals and works daily to achieve them. She is strong, and soft, and strives for no one's ideals but her own. She's a little messy, and there are probably dishes in her sink. But hey - life is short, and who has time for dishes?

What arrived to my door, with gold lettering embossed across the packaging, was a beautiful Burberry Beauty trio of highly pigmented lip colors, a sketch pad (complete with Burberry coloring pencils), and some sweets. I was so excited when the package arrived; the presentation was beautiful.

The lipsticks are matte in finish, but oh so creamy in how they wear. If you couldn't see the finish, you'd never know they were matte. Saturated and pigmented with color, these Liquid Lip Velvet shades are comfortable to wear, and leave a beautiful stain behind when removed. Much like the luxury line of their clothing, these lip colors are ones you'll never want to take off!
