Spring Fling: 12 Shoes for Spring and Summer

Spring Fling

Spring is in full swing here in California. This morning I woke up to 80 degree weather, the birds were singing in the trees, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. What better occasion to get inspired for some new spring shoes? Take a look at the shoes I've selected (along with 3 popular clothing items) that will carry you from spring into summer. The best part? Every shoe is currently $60 or less.

The Spring Dress
Fun, flirty, and bright is what the best dresses are for spring. And when you go this bold there's no sense in toning down your shoes! Get flirty with clear vinyl details on a colorful heel, be playful in a two-tone oxford, or rev up the sexy in a lace up metallic gladiator sandal.

The Spring Jeans
Oh the boyfriend jean. A personal favorite of mine, I can't imagine going a season without this essential. Pair this jean with a sleek, modern blazer, a tailored peplum top, or even a frilly blouse. The options with this cut are endless, much like the shoes you can pair with it. Go girly and flirty with a polka dot pump, unexpectedly playful with a colorful flat, or go glam with an sandal in the perfect shade of spring blue.

The Spring Skirt
Florals for spring? Groundbreaking. As cliché as it might seem, there are some things that stick for a reason. Florals; they're the reason for the season. (See what I did there?) This spring why not try an a-line skirt in a fun flower print? A-lines tend to be a pretty forgiving cut, when at the right length (go a little longer to account for those spring and summer breezes). Pair your skirt with a modern t-strap and a silky button down blouse for a flirty look. For a playful look pair this skirt with a colored denim jacket (my heart says blush pink) and nude heel. For glam, throw an unexpected curve ball and add some metallic in the mix!

Bonus!
Three bonus shoes that were just too cute to not include, perfect for any time of the year. Flirty flats with a eye-catching details and a hint of metallic that will look perfect for spring, summer and fall. Pair these with jeans for brunch, dresses for work, or circle skirts for brunch. Floral oxfords that are less girly than you'd think because of their black background. Pair these with cuffed overalls, frayed denim shorts, or sweet eyelet dresses. Black and white is still huge! Glam things up - and really anything- with a stunning graphic print heel (with fringe included).

What do you think? Will you be wearing any of these items for spring? Which shoe is your favorite? Do you have more than one? I personally would wear each and every item listed here (which makes sense, because I selected them all)! And can you believe that all but one is under $60?! Amazing right? I love the playful pink flat. It's so cute with it's scalloping. There are a lot of bright colors out there. It's so uplifting. Great post Amber.

This morning I woke up with a cold, Amber. Runny nose, shivering, everything. And now it's dawning on me that decent balm tissues have run out at home, which means sandpaper-like kitchen roll suffices.

The cornucopia of happy colours on display in this post seems far too joyful for a dowdy bloke like me enduring perilous man-flu. Oh, the hardship...
