2 Steps to Perfect Brows with RevitaLash

It was my best friend Hala'i who first introduced me to my obsession with brows. We were on our way home one day from middle school when she informed me that it was time that I took a strong interest them. I learned about brow gel (also known as "clear mascara"), what a proper brow arch was, and the obsession was born.
If left on their own my brows will grow into wild, fluffy caterpillars. Honestly I love them a little burly and unkempt. Often those who wax my brows will make them too thin, and I seem to be in a continuous cycle of trying to un-do nearly every brow wax I have ever had. I have learned to work around this by asking for a "brow clean up" instead of a shaping. That way I get to keep my desired thickness and shape, and everyone is happy!

Recently I visited my favorite salon in downtown Santa Rosa, Lotus Beauty Bar for a brow update. The owner Rabia is a fellow curly head and she always has the friendliest, coolest employees! They are also fantastic at brows.

2 Steps to Perfect Brows
Before starting, make sure you've got a good brow shape: this doesn't mean you have to be freshly waxed, but make sure that any random brow hairs have been trimmed or plucked. I personally love a full brow..my favorite look is one that is about 1-2 weeks past due of being waxed.

Step 1: Use a brow pencil to shape and define. After brushing out browns, grab your favorite brow pencil. Start just underneath your brow, a few millimeters back from the widest part. Gently sketch along the edge, making sure that the lines are defined but not overly thick or dark. When you get to the end of the brow, repeat the same sketching motion at the top of your brow: only this time sketch within the brow, not above it (this makes the brow look more thick and full). Also be sure to lightly fill in any sparse areas. I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz pencil in Medium Brown.

Step 2: Use a tinted brow gel to set your shape, and give your brows extra depth. I used to use a brow powder for this, however I found that with a tinted brow gel, my eyebrows look more natural, and less stark. When it comes to makeup I'm all about the "enhanced natural" look. With your tinted brow gel, start at the beginning of your brow, gently combing upwards. Comb up working towards to your arch, then down on the slope towards the end of your brow. For well placed and conditioned brows, I personally love the RevitaLash Hi-Def Tinted Brow Gel. The hold is soft, but keeps my brows in place all day!

Alternative:
Use your favorite brow pencil or brow powder and follow the instructions in Step 1. Finish off your brows with a clear mascara or brow wax for perfect hold all day.

I was sent the RevitaLash brow gel for review. I have been using it for 4 consecutive weeks, and I am so happy to have discovered this product!
