Fur-Mama's Day

It's no secret that I'm not a mother - at least not in the traditional sense, but I am a fur-mama to an adorable Maine Coon named Eloise. Eloise and I met during an adoption weekend some 6 years ago, and it was truly love at first site. I picked her up and she nuzzled her head into my neck and refused to let go. We've barely separated since.

With Mother's Day right around the corner, I decided to head out to my local Simon Mall, Santa Rosa Plaza, to see what specials were going on - and I scored. Just how big did I score? Well, one of these items I paid just $3.47 for, with the original price being $79. Can you guess which item it is?

I have spoken a lot about returning to the basics for spring, and I feel that all three of my new purchases fit the bill quite nicely. Sure, the Francesca's botanical / butterfly print bag may not be what traditionally comes to mind for wardrobe longevity, however I know I will look forward to carrying it for quite some time: the print was just too cute to pass up! Plus, with the multiple colors and and overall white background, it will seamlessly match several items in my closet, making it well worth the purchase.

I have a growing fondness for crisp white button downs, however this non-traditional Rachel Roy blouse really caught my eye. What I love about it is how from the front it looks like the typical wardrobe staple we know and love, but from the back - surprise! To make it office friendly I simply wear a camisole underneath.

The jeans I am excited about because I have wanted to jump on the flare bandwagon for a while now. However in my inability to jump on trends just as soon as they happen, I had to give it a season or two before I gave it a try. Also, if you guessed my jeans as my major sale find, you were right! These were originally priced at $79.95 at the Gap, and I got them for an incredible $3.47! These are a very recent purchase, so there's a chance that you too might be able to score an awesome sale piece.

The lavender eye pillow is just too cute, isn't it? I found this at Francesca's and loved it. Eloise is forever nuzzling me awake in the morning, and I think this item will help me get those extra 5 minutes of sleep every day.

Today's outfit and post was sponsored by Santa Rosa Plaza Simon Mall (although I selected the items myself!)
