It is very rare for me to fall in love with editorials. It's not that I don't love them - I do. It's just rare for me to become obsessed. Remember the Alice in Wonderland editorial shot by Annie Leibovitz? I'm full blown obsessed it. This month in the September Vogue, it's happened again. I've fallen in love with not just an editorial, but with a photographer as well. His name is David Sims. After doing some research on him, I'm beginning to think that it is no coincidence that all the brands that I love, he has worked with extensively. He's done ad campaigns for Alexander McQueen, Miu Miu, and Valentino. He's even shot the last several video campaigns for Zara (which are beautiful).
Vogue's editorial, Cinderella Story is stunning. I'd had the magazine sitting around the house for a day or so, somewhat intimidated by it's 902 pages (which also clocks in at 4.02 lbs - I weighed it). Sunday evening while watching the VMA's, my poor eyes were looking for a slice of salvation after that heinous Miley performance. Needless to say Vogue, David Sims, Grace Coddington and Edie Campbell did not disappoint. The stunning couture, the richness of both the fabrics and architecture left me spellbound. I hope it leaves you spellbound too.
