A•Mused Blog visits Tallulah

Nestled in the gentle rolling, vineyard covered hills of Northern California, there lies a treasure trove of playful, one of a kind items for your home, closet, and sweet tooth. The place is known as Tallulah.

Tallulah in Healdsburg is where you go when you want to start a conversation. Once you cross the threshold into the boutique, your senses are on alert; your eyes flit up to the ceiling to observe the twin chandeliers fabricated out of clustered branches, while your fingers trace over the house-made velvet pumpkins that come in a shimmering array of colors. At the front counter, one of a kind necklaces made from ancient Roman coins and dipped in gold will give you reason to pause...until that is, you discover the complimentary candy bar. Hanging above the custom made lampshades are expertly framed Hermes scarves. Also, don't forget the Butter London goodies! (Pink mascara, anyone?)

Denise Trefy who is both the owner and interior designer of the space, has created a welcoming world that is wholly unique. There are several items in the store which are Tallulah originals, such as the velvet pumpkins, and floral corsages that you see around my neck. Trefy works closely with local designers and artists as well, and has a story for each product, revealing how in tune she is with both her customers and brands. Her store is filled with charm, humor, and beautiful works of art. Every time I thought I had found my favorite item in the entire store, I discovered something else. Tallulah is truly a feast for the senses!

If you are planning a visit to Wine County, be sure to stop by 333 Healdsburg Ave in Healdburg. Or feel free to give them a call about anything that you have seen: 707-473-9277!

Join Talluah in Healdsburg on October 30th, at 6pm for wine, sweet treats, and costumes! I'll be there competing for the most outstanding mask!
